Our Visit to Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, California

I read Bill Johnson’s note (http://www.bjm.org/regarding-todd-bentley.html) on how he and a few others stood up for Todd Bentley and even after the mishap, to restore Todd through a period of healing.

I praise God for using such a man with a Father’s heart, truly a model for all Christians to follow, to have the heart & love of our heavenly Father. James wrote, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” (James 2:17).

Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry is well known for awesome divine healings and miraculous signs & wonders.

By God’s grace, we were part of a team selected to go to Bill Johnson’s Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in early 2007 for a few days. This was under the scholarship given by Bethel School to the school in California that we were attending.

I was very impressed with the school, where they have a 24 hours Prayer Tower on a hill. When we were at the Prayer Tower, their prophetic team would draw pictures of the vision they saw on us and gave us prophetic guidance.

In one of the meetings at Bethel School, the team of Bethel Outreach ministers came forward and shared testimonies of the awesome and divine healings occurred during their outreach evangelistic missions. They shared on how God would just lead them to pray for the disabled. There were instant healings where sight restored, the lame got up from wheelchairs and many more awesome testimonies.

The outreach ministers comprised of young men, women and even youths. Their simple minded faith and courage really touched me. It was also the first time that I witnessed such an event.

In our Chinese culture, such sharing would have been deemed to be boastful & considered ‘pride’ – a taboo. Thus, many of the Chinese ministers have lived with such false humility by not standing up to boldly testify how the Lord has used them as instruments to bless the people with the power of God.

We cannot boast about ourselves because apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5, Zechariah 4:6). When we boast about the power of God, we are giving glory to the Lord. Testimony not only gives glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, but it is also a very powerful tool to break the power of darkness.

Jesus told his disciples in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”. The command from Jesus is very clear; we receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us. When we receive the power from God, we have to use His power to bless the people like healing the sick and setting people free from bondages. Then we shall bear witness for the Lord, testifying and glorifying Him.

The school has many anointed people who flow in various gifts of the Spirit. Ps Esther and I were blessed, when Bill Johnson laid his hands to pray for both of us. The Lord also healed me of hypertension during my stay at Redding, which I shared in my article

Early morning I visited www.sidroth.org and read an article named 'Statement of Todd Bentley'. Atfer reading Bill Johnson's note, it touches my heart that he indeed is a man with Father's heart. I know how pain and difficult to be left alone during the period of healing because I personally went through. In times of trouble, people tend to avoid you or put more pressure on you to tear you down unlike a man with a Father's heart, he will have the boldness and courage ready to pay a price in helping to restore you. More of man with a Father's heart, we need more of man with a Father's heart to help those who are lost and those who truly repented their sins. Save them from the hands of the enemy, after restoration, they'll soar like an eagle. As our Father in heaven forgive our sin, let us help those who are truly repented. LOVE

Dear Anonymous,

God is love. We can never understand God, how He works. In Romans 9:13 God said, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

God hates sins, yet He loves Jacob who sinned by deceiving his brother twice; first of his birthright (Gen. 25:31-34) and then the blessing (Gen.27:19, 27). But, Jacob is very determined and has a character that God loves.

John Wesley wrote, “Repentance leads to true righteousness and peace with God, which in turn brings joy. Joy is put in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.”

Thus, every Christian should live a repentance life. Paul said, “You should continue to work out your salvation with fear & trembling” (Philippians 2:12). If we seriously work hard for our own salvation we would be so busy repenting that we would not have the time to be critical, judgmental or condemning others. Jesus did not come to condemn but to save the world.

Keep Todd Bentley in our prayer.

Many a time brokeness brings true repentance but it has a great price to paid especially it involved sexual sins. Our Father is a faithful God, He knows what is best for Todd Bentley's restoration and He had prepared all! Pray that Todd Bentley experience the true and living God is so real in his life just like Heaven is so real in Thomas Choo's life! He will loves God, lost souls and not forgetting those who repented from their sins and need support to go through the period of healing. Also keep his family in prayer too. They too are in pain and need healing and restoration.LOVE

It is encouraging to hear that Rick Joyner and Jack Deere stepped in to help Todd Bentley in the restoration process. It has set a good example for the rest of the Christians like us to follow.
Praise the Lord also for the Revival Alliance panel (John Arnott, Che Ahn, and Bill Johnson) to address this issue with the spirit of grace.

Jesus has said in John 8:7 ..... He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone ...

We all make mistakes in our walk with Christ. Who don't?

Yes, we all make mistakes in our walk with Christ.

Just remind ourselves whenever we are about to point the finger to others, the other 3 fingers are actually pointing at ourselves.

Jesus said in James 4:12
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

Let us all pray that God gives us a Father's heart and fill us with His Agape loves so that we could be used as a channel to flow out His Agape loves to others, because Jesus said: "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick (Matthew 9:12)". As Christian, sometimes we could fall sick too if we are not careful enough!

Dear Victoria,

I was in Jack Deere's class for 2-3 days in California 2004. Knowing Jack, Todd is in good hand.

A man of God said, "A religious spirit allows people to tolerate hatred & anger under the guise of passion for holiness."

There will always be modern day Pharisees as God also uses them to mould and refine character of those He wants to use.
