Prior to the formation of CKRM ( Christ’s Kingdom Reigns Majestically) Christian Centre, Pastor Paul Ang and Pastor Esther Chow attended a Summer Intensive Course at Agape Renewal Center (ARC), Los Angeles in 2004. Ps. Paul was again at Agape Renewal Center in 2005. After a few years in ministry, both went to ARC again in 2007 for further training. By God’s grace, while they were students at ARC, the President of ARC gave them the privilege to be part of the team selected to go to Bill Johnson’s Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in March 2007 for a few days under the scholarship given by Bethel School. The experience was a blessing to the team that went because Bill Johnson’s ministry was well known for awesome healings, miraculous signs and wonders.
The reality of 1 Corinthians 2:4-5, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom but on God’s power” and 1 Corinthians 4:20, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” took root in the hearts of Pastor Paul and Pastor Esther after their time with ARC and Bill Johnson’s Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry.
Shortly after returning from Bill Johnson’s Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, Pastor Paul Ang and Pastor Esther Chow obeyed the prompting of God to set up a supernatural ministry similar to that of Bill Johnson’s. CKRM Christian Centre Ltd was thus set up on 16th April 2007; portraying a “Show & Tell” ministry that combines the preaching of the Word with demonstrations of God’s power. Through CKRM, God is raising up a new generation of believers who are advancing His kingdom by living out Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and release them from darkness for the prisoners”. This will be accomplished through the equipping and training of the believers.
By the grace of God, since the founding days, CKRM has been growing. From just a Saturday Empowerment ministry to today’s ‘Discipleship & Character Building’ on Tuesday, “Supernatural and Anointing” ministry on Saturday and ‘Today’s Youth’ Supernatural ministry on Sunday. As of January 2009, God has led the leadership of CKRM to venture beyond Singapore and set up CKRM Leadership Training (SEA) Sdn Bhd in Malacca (March 2009). CKRM Banting Advisory Centre was set up in (July 2009), CKRM Klang Divine Healing ministry (September 2009) and CKRM Petaling Jaya (August 2010) in Selangor. Looking into the future, CKRM will continue with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to set up ministries all over the world as to prepare the saints for the glorious return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
