Believer/Disciple of Jesus Christ

A senior pastor of a Mega Church in Singapore posted on his wall in the FB: ..“Question for us to ponder: Is it possible to be just a believer and not a disciple of Jesus Christ?”

One of the comments posted: ... very possible ... "Every Disciple is a Believer but not Every Believer is a Disciple"... it’s a choice... if every believer will choose to be a disciple; we will 'easily and rapidly' win the world for Jesus...

My comments posted on his wall: "It's a choice and the true disciple of Jesus are His called, chosen, and faithful ones who will follow the Lamb wherever He goes (Revelation 17:14) staying in His glory under His leading, guidance & protection ... & the reason why the presence of His glory rests on few although He lives in all believers."

The extreme discipleship of Jesus is one who will leave everything behind to carry the cross to follow Jesus (Matthew 19:29) and they are willing & obedient to be the instruments God could use; to do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21, 12:47-50).

Isaiah 1:19-20 "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."

Jeremiah 17:5-6: This is what the Lord says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

Jeremiah 17:7-8: “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

The Bible is His message to us and I can testify of His faithfulness on the above Scriptures especially having experienced His goodness in blessing us and ministries.

When the Lord sent us to Malacca, my ministry partner and I went in obedience leaving our comfort zone in Singapore. After settling in Malacca, I asked the Lord for two things; one was a bigger car, the other was that I wanted to stay in a Penthouse.

We have received more than what we have asked for. The Lord blessed us with a brand-new Camry 2.4V. I only wanted a Camry 2.0G but the Lord prompted the donor to bless us with a bigger capacity engine. I wanted a Penthouse and the Lord not only blesses us with a cosy well renovated Penthouse to stay but to convert another two other Penthouse units as the Penthouse Conference Room. Our properties are debt-free but also have rooms for future expansion if the need arises as well as good quality accommodation for participants.

By His grace, God has abundantly blessed CKRM with resources, provisions, leading talented co-workers to us and most important of all is having a very healthy & strong cash reserve.

The wisdom from the author of the book - Ecclesiastes 10:19 "A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything." Laughter (cheerful heart is a good medicine - Proverbs 17:22). (Eph.5:18 - Be filled with the Spirit not wine - Joyful) and money is needed for everything, including God's ministries.

Within 4 years, the ministries of CKRM expanded beyond the shore of Singapore, branching to Malacca and the State of Selangor and a blessing to many people, healing and setting many people free from bondages and also raising God's called and chosen to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit with impartation of spiritual gifts.

May the above message encourage and bless the readers to fulfil "His command on the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. AND SURELY I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).
